Databases: Advanced In-Person

This is a hands on session.

This follows on from our Databases: Basic session and builds on the strategies introduced. 

Spend more time learning about advanced options including:

  • search filters and how they can refine your search results
  • understanding your search history and how to combine search terms/strings effectively
  • the use of MeSH (Medical Subject Headings) and Emtree headings to align your search terms with database recognised terms for greater success in your search results.
